Let’s officially welcome Marc Apostolides to the 21 Songwriters Music Festival & Conference (Connecticut Edition), happening Saturday, October 24th at Small Batch Cellars in North Haven, CT, in support of Musical Intervention!

There’s a certain kind of songwriter who doesn’t chase the spotlight.

He chases the craft.

That’s Marc Apostolides.

Carrying the songcraft of Jackson Browne, the subtlety of Iron & Wine, and the everyman perspective of Billy Joel, Marc writes from real life. Coaching his son’s baseball games. Showing up for his family. Paying attention to all those seemingly ordinary moments that have a funny way of becoming the important ones when you look back.

A multi-instrumentalist rooted in the James Taylor New England songwriter tradition, Marc has been writing songs for more than three decades. And after going more than ten years without releasing new music, he found his way back to it with Bigger Beast Records.

But Marc didn’t just come back to release his own songs.

He became part of the work.

He’s spent countless hours inside the Acoustic Barn helping other artists capture theirs, recording live sessions, hauling gear, listening, learning, and becoming one of those people we know will be there when something needs to get done.

There’s something fitting about that.

Because Marc has never seemed particularly interested in making the room look at him. He’s interested in the song, the people making it, and getting the moment right.

Maybe that’s why, after all these years, he still has something to say.

We are honored to welcome Marc Apostolides to the 21 Songwriters Music Festival & Conference (Connecticut Edition) on Saturday, October 24th at Small Batch Cellars in North Haven, Connecticut.

Admission is free as 21 songwriters gather for a full day of original music, storytelling, artist workshops, live performances, and our signature after-hours song circle.

All donations benefit Musical Intervention, supporting its work using music to build community and create opportunities for people in New Haven.
